(Jaipur: 23/05/09): The body of two and half year old boy Nitin agarwal alias ‘Nanu’ son of Ajay Agarwal of Jhotwara was found at salasar colony Jhotwara. The boy was kidnapped and murdered by his own cousin Mahindra Agarwal.
According to the sources nitin (nanu) was missing since 6:30 PM on 22nd of May. “After searching everywhere we were not able to trace the child even after announcing cash price of Rs.50, 000 and hence informed the police at about 7:30 pm”, says Dr. Hemant singh a neighbor. He further adds on 23rd police informed us that they have found a body of minor in the newly constructed house at salasar colony. Hearing the news I along with the father of nanu went to the site and found nanu’s dead body, which made us all grieve.
When contacted CO Jhotwara police station Mr. Richpal Singh, “He affirmed that the body was found at salasar colony in a newly constructed house. The body was lying in the attached bathroom. We are investigating in to the matter and have taken three persons including the elder cousin of the victim for investigation. Report of forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is still awaited.” He further said, “Some children of the locality were playing in the house and came to know about the body. They informed us through their elders and we swung into action. After initial investigation revealed that the boy was last seen with his brother and was killed at least 12-hr before the finding, which was evident from the smell of body”.
Finally around 8PM Mahindra Agarwal (19) during investigation accepted the crime and blamed his maternal uncle and aunty (mamu and mami) for the crime. He said, “After the birth of nanu his importance in the family declined and his both uncles and grandpa use to treat him badly. His maternal uncle Ajay Agarwal (nanu’s father) always uses to regard him as useless and have no worth. So finally fed up with this all I decided to root the evil (nanu)”. When asked about the modus operandi mahindra said, “I took nitin with for a walk then finding a chance I took him to the site and wrapped him in the cement bag and killed him by striking hard with the bricks and stones to end my miseries”.
